Last Sunday Of The Year

Well, here we are the last Sunday of the year..we started our day in the one place that has kept our family grounded.. CHURCH..thanking God for watching over and keeping us in 2019 as we prepare for 2020.. this is the time of year where people usually make some type of New Year Resolution..and while some may make goals and may not reach the full potential of what they sat out to do..they still had ambition to accomplish something great..a way to better themselves and their surroundings..let’s be honest that’s 365 days to stay focused, motivated, and accountable..but, what are our goals worth to us..do we see ourselves having that family we always wanted..making the right decisions to improve our health..that dream job that we always wanted..or financially secure for the present and the future..we can start out small..maybe incorporate a walk into our lunch break..taking money out of each check and putting it into our savings account..going back to school in order to attain a degree..or even yes, starting a blog..but, we know these things right…we just have to translate it into our lives..nothing I’ve said so far is out of the ordinary..and sure life will come along and try to discourage you..there will be days when it won’t seem to be working..but, those days we just have to breathe, relax, relate, and release..recenter ourselves..trust God and keep it moving..as I write these blogs trust and believe I’m encouraging myself as well..because there are days when I still look for my purpose in all that is planned for me…I’ve tried my hand at many of things and yet seen any of those things come to full maturity…but, that doesn’t stop me from trying still..because I know one day I will find my niche..your dream awaits and no better time to start than now..no matter the date..it’s your time

Sunday Ready

The Days After Christmas

We build up so much anticipation for Christmas that we truly need some down time before the New Year kicks in..we personally have had some major changes happen leading to this particular holiday…lost of a very special family member and life threatening situations for others..mentally the last 7 months have been busy..one benefit for us is that our kids are no longer babies..(but, always our babies) so, shopping for them was a breeze..they are now in the money, necessities and basic category..which I can say we have never really felt the Christmas shopping pressure to buy them the latest toy ever since they were born..it has always been a tradition to shop one full day and call it done..

So, today has been one of no travels..while the traveler in me thought hey, let’s go explore some where while we have the time..the realistic me..said nope, enjoy the day in relaxation and rest..video games have been played, food has been eaten, blogs have been written and pajamas have been maintained…sure, there are plenty of things around the house that can be done..like taking down the Goodwill tree that we put up right before we went out of town for the week..or get rid of the Ginger Bread House that has been sitting out since then..that I’m sure is rock hard by now, unpack clothes or put up gifts received even put away loads of laundry that I overlook as I walk into my room..but, guess what none of that will get done today..why because I will continue to spend time with my family..we will continue to laugh and crack jokes on one another in love..lol..and we will continue to thank God for the life we live and blessings He has bestowed upon us…and hey, there’s always tomorrow.. maybe 😉

We Present Us

Let’s answer the suggested questions given by WordPress to make this easier on me and you..lol..(first let me just say this by no means will be a formal blog..there will be many grammatical errors so grammar police be warned)

Question 1. Why are we blogging and making this public rather than for ourselves..well, my answer to that is why not? We live in age where technology has made it where we can tell our stories and lives from the view point that we want to present to the world.. we can then take in that feed back whether it be positive or negative..choose to add to our lives or leave it where it is..our hope is to encourage others to take life on full force, surely there are plenty things we haven’t done nor seen..but, we hope you are willing to take this Journey By Grace along with us

Question 2. What will this blog be about?…hmmmm let’s see just about everything including travel, food, fashion, marriage, Jesus, faith and family..what makes us who we are..we have been married since we were 18 (him) and 19 (me) back in 1993..so, as you can imagine we have accumulated a lot experiences over the years with our now two adult children and we look to do so much more..being empty nesters now we have a lot more free time to focus on us and our dreams..you know those dreams you set aside for priorities..where at a point in our lives where the answer is..yes, let’s do it

Question 3. Who would we like to connect to? Anyone who is interested..lol..even sponsors who would like a honest feed back on there products and or places of interest..if you find our lives entertaining or inspirational in some way just follow along..not looking to discriminate against anyone.. we believe we can all just get along..whether your a traveler, fashion designer, chef, husband, wife, or God Lover..whatever your walk is in life…we truly believe we can learn from your life as well…working on never becoming unteachable..

Question 4. What do we hope to accomplish within this year…surely, we hope to see the places we’ve only read about or seen in pictures..and be able to document those moments in such a way that we leave our legacy upon this earth..to get this blog off the ground by accumulating followers who become friends ..to encourage our children to live life eyes wide open..to not put yourself in a box or allow others to.. remembering that we only travel this way once so fully enjoy it..not looking back wishing we would have..ultimately our goal is to blog as a full time job..so here we are at the beginning..let’s see what the future holds
